The End of PHPonAcid.com
I’ve taken a new job recently and am a little bit worried about having a blog online with the term ‘on acid’ in its name. I love this blog, but I’m not quite sure how to go about separating my professional persona from my personal persona online. Hmm.. maybe there’s a startup idea right there? At the moment I’m considering moving this blog to the dark web where I can blog pseudonymously without fear of getting fired over a silly blog. Back in school I remember learning about writers who used pen-names and whatnot. At the time I thought that was a thing of the past. I suppose pen-names may still be relevant even today. So anyway that’s what’s going on with me right now. I love my new job. I suppose you could even consider my new employer a Silicon Valley startup, even though they haven’t raised any VC funding and are pursuing a non-traditional path towards growth. I started off on this journey trying to create my own successful startup, but ended up joining a startup instead. Life is starting to look a lot more promising than it was when I started this blog, and I look forward to continuing to blog about pursuing my own startup side-projects, even if I have to do so on the dark web. Before I shut down the site, I will make sure to go ahead and publish the .onion address for my new blog. And the site should still remain available on archive.org for anyone who’s interested, however, it will be much harder to find — especially for potential employers snooping around world wide web trying to dig up information on me.
